The GPS provides a means of communication whereby designers, production engineers, quality experts, inspectors and metrologists can exchange information on the allowable geometries of workpieces manufactured on the basis of specifications... indicated on a drawing... The associated graphic and symbolic "language" uses the syntax and semantics defined in GPS standards". This document, which is in the diffusion of GPS system contribute , is intended as a practical resource, a summary of GPS standards on tolerancing, aiming to provide new contributions to the main features contained in the basic tolerancing and dimensioning standards released since the publication of the first Memo.
